How do the garbage and recycling programs work in Eagles Mere?
Curbside garbage pick up occurs every Monday year round.
For the months of July and August, garbage is picked up on Mondays and Thursdays.
Garbage must be bagged and tied.
The annual fee is for 104 bags, which averages 2 bags per week. Above that, the cost is $2.00 per bag.
You may drop off your recyclables at the Borough Garage on Carl Rider Road on week days from 6AM-2PM or when the gate is open.

What and when is spring cleanup? What are the rules?
The borough provides dumpsters free of charge at the Borough Garage on Carl Rider Road on the third weekend in June.
You can NOT dispose of wet paint, tires, batteries, or appliances with freon. There will be NO collection of electric and electronic items such as computers, TVs, video recorders, etc. (anything that needs to be plugged in).
When do I need a permit? Where do I get it?
A permit is needed when a structure is built on a lot. This includes out buildings, garages, play houses, etc.
